Ballroom dancing enjoys an extremely upscale following and an ever-growing audience. Championship dancing is now routinely shown on regular television channels as well as cables. The growing popularity of ballroom dance is quickly confirmed by looking at the ratings of ABC during the Olympic games. The show "Dancing with the Stars" had 1,000,000 viewers more than the Olympics.

The First Coast Classic Dancesport Championship will be held at the World Golf Village Renaissance Resort in Jacksonville, Florida on October 2-4 2008. It will be likely telecast within Jacksonville as discussions are currently being held with producers and cable networks such as ESPN & JU Local network.
